Recruitment of Defence Research & Development Organization 630 Scientist B Posts via GATE 2022: Application Deadline Extends

Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), under Ministry of Defence,  Govt of India, has released a notice for recruiting  Scientist ‘B’ posts (Graduate Engineers) through GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2022 Score.

DRDO has extended the closing date of application to 05 August 2022 (17 Hours).

In a short notification DRSO said “A few candidates have faced issues with the single operational payment gateway till 27th July 2022. In order to help the applicants, another payment gateway has been integrated with the system w.e.f 28th July 2022. In view of the above, the competent authority has agreed to extend the last date for filling application to 5th August 2022, 1700 hours. Candidates may however note that the crucial date for determining the age limit, etc. will remain the same as the closing date notified earlier i.e. 29th July 2022.”

Selection Process:

The shortlisted candidates on the basis of the GATE scores and/or Written Examination will be required to appear in the Personal Interview to be held at Delhi or any other place as decided by RAC/ DRDO.

The offer of appointment to the selected candidates will be restricted to the number of vacancies in order of merit. The appointment, however, will be subject to satisfying conditions like qualifying the Medical Examination prescribed for Group ‘A’ Technical posts of Govt. of India with Field Service liability and verification of character antecedents besides verification of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD(HH)/PwD(LD)/PwD(AAV)/PwD(Dw) certificate etc, wherever applicable.

Two PSUs Recruiting Nearly 1,000 Graduate Engineers through GATE 2022 Score

On the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score many leading Public Sector Undertakings under Union Government of India and State Governments recruit Graduate Engineers.

There are some PSUs have already released  notice for recurring Engineers through GATE 2022 score. As on 03 August 2022, there are two leading PSU which have opened recruitment window to recruit Managing Trainees or Graduate Engineers or Assistant Engineers. DRDO has extended closing date for submission of application. Meanwhile, ONGC has released a short notice for its recruitment plan on Graduate Trainees (GTs) in Engineering & Geo-sciences.

ONGC Announces Graduate Trainees (GTs) in Engineering & Geo-sciences via GATE 2022 ! Application to Open Soon

New Delhi, 29 July 2022: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), a Maharatna PSU, has announced the recruitment of Graduate Trainees (GTs) in Engineering & Geo-sciences disciplines utilizing GATE 2022 score.

ONGC will recruit GTS via GATE Score in 13 subjects of GATE.

ONGC has informed that a separate notification with details of vacancies, eligibility criteria, selection process etc. will be issued in Employment News and ONGC website www.ongcindia.com. The online process will start after issue of the notification.

BHU Launches Scheme to Partially Fund Overseas Academic Travels of PhD Scholars, Researchers, Faculty Members

In line with its commitment to facilitate and support its researchers, scholars and faculty members in their pursuit to excel academically and professionally, Banaras Hindu University has launched a new scheme for International Travel Support.

The scheme will fund a significant part of international travels of postdoctoral fellows, Ph.D. scholars and regular faculty members, for participation in overseas conferences, workshops, short training programs and academic meetings. The scheme was approved in the Governing Body meeting of Institution of Eminence, BHU, under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain.

As per the scheme, regular faculty members of BHU will be eligible to get financial assistance once in a financial year up to Rs. 50,000/- (for SAARC and ASEAN countries) and Rs. 1,00,000/- (for all other countries). The postdoctoral fellows and Ph.D. scholars will be entitled for financial support once in their tenure up to Rs. 25,000/- (for SAARC and ASEAN countries) and Rs. 50,000/- (for all other countries). The officers of the university will also be extended the benefit of the scheme on merit. The scheme will be managed by Sponsored Research Industrial Consultancy Cell (SRICC).

Vice-Chancellor Prof Sudhir Kumar Jain has underlined the need of creating more and better opportunities for BHU’s students and faculty members. He has also time and again assured that his administration will make all possible efforts to facilitate members of BHU fraternity in order to grow academically as well as professionally. This new scheme is reflective of BHU’s endeavor to make its members excel in their respective academic journeys.
