Financial Assistance for PhD Programmes Full Time Regular Registration Category: Financial assistance in the form of Teaching Assistantships (@ Rs. 31,000/- per month) of the Institute is available to full time PhD students is available to the students admitted to PhD programmes. The total number of PhD Seats for Institute Assistantships is 88. Applicants who are either of sponsored category or who are already awarded fellowship by external agencies can submit their applications for admission in departments/schools even if there are no Institute Assistantship available.

IIIT Bangalore Opens PhD Admission Jan 2023 with Fellowships @ Rs 38.5K Per Month

International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bangalore, a Research University, funded jointly by the Government of Karnataka and the IT industry under a public-private partnership model, has announced Research Admissions  Mid Year 2022-23 (Term 2).

Fellowships Benefits: For full-time Doctor of Philosophy students, a fellowship of INR 38,500/- per month till completion of comprehensive Exam. INR 43,500 per month for a maximum period of 3 years (36 months) after completion of comprehensive Exam.

Eligibility in Brief:

Candidates for admission in PhD programme in Engineering Departments must satisfy one of the following criteria:

Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 point grading system or equivalent 65% of marks (CGPA x 10). Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology from a centrally funded Technical Institute with an excellent academic record and with a CGPA of at least 9.0 out of 10 point grading system or equivalent 90% of marks (CGPA x 10). Candidates must have valid GATE score tenable for the year of admission.

Master’s Degree in relevant science discipline with a good academic record and of exceptional m6rit are eligible for relevant engineering discipline with minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 point grading system or more or at least 65% of marks (CGPA x 10).  Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates.

*** Conversion of CGPA to percentage and vice-versa will not be allowed.

B) Admission to PhD programme in Science Department must satisfy one of the following criteria:-

Master’s degree in Sciences with a good academic record and with a minimum of 65% marks (or equivalent or 6.5 CGPA in a 10 point grading system) or 60oh of marks (6.0 CGPA out of 10 point grading system)”{CGPA x 101 with a GATE score or UGC/CSIRNETA{ BHM tenable for the year of admission. Preference will be given to GATE/NET qualified candidates.

Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent academic record with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 point grading system or equivalent or 65% of marks (CGPA x 10) . Preference will be candidates. is eligible with a good or given to GATE qualified

NIT Warangal Announces PhD Admission January 2023 with Institute Fellowship

National Institute of Technology  (NIT )Warangal, an Institute of National Importance, has announced PhD Admission for January  2023 session. The PhD Programs, in Full-time (FT) and Part-time (PT) modes, are offered in 13 departments of the institute.

Fellowships:The candidates selected for admission into PhD under Full-Time program are eligible to receive institute fellowship as per Ministry of Education, (former MHRD) rules. ELIGIBILITY:

First class with 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG for GEN/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category and minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA for candidates under SC/ST/PwD category.

Engineering Departments:

Master’s/M.S. (by Research) degree in Engineering/Technology in the appropriate branch of study.

All candidates must have qualified in GATE (not a compulsion for part-time scholars).

OR

Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology with valid GATE score and at least CGPA of 8.0/10 or 75% of marks under GEN/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category and at least CGPA of 7.5/10 or 70% for candidates under SC/ST/PwD category.

Science Departments:

Master’s degree in the relevant discipline of Science (Mathematics/Physics/ Chemistry)/B.Tech or equivalent degree/ M.Tech or equivalent degree.

NIT Trichy Opens PhD Admission January 2023 for 94 Seats with Fellowships

Tiruchirappalli, 25 October 2022: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, Top NIT as per NIRF 2021, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to PhD for January 2023 session.

There are four types of PhD programmes available for admission:

(a) Full-Time: (i) Half-Time Research Assistantship (HTRA), and (ii) Externally Funded (iii) Non-Stipendiary
