GATE 2023 Results Out: 18% Candidates Qualified , Out of 5.17 lakh, 1 lakh candidates Passed
The results of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 have been declared on 16 March 2023. About 18 per cent of candidates have qualified GATE 2023.
Out of 5.17 lakh that appeared, around 1 lakh candidates have qualified GATE 2023 examination, About 6.70 lakh candidates registered for GATE this time for 29 papers, in total. Out of these, 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the examination in more than 500 centres across the country with an overall attendance of about 77 per cent.
GATE scorecard 2023 will be valid for three years starting on the day the results were announced, which was yesterday.
Qualified GATE score can be used for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to : (i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts; and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Arts and Science, in the institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies. GATE score is also used by some colleges and institutions for giving admission to students without MoE scholarship/assistantship. Further, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.

NTA Announces CSIR- UGC NET Exam Dec 2022 & June 2023, Application Portal Opens
National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination December-2022 / June-2023 in June 2023. The application portal has opened from 10 March 2023.
The test is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian Universities and Colleges in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam is held in five science subjects:

Selection procedure for PhD: Candidates are shortlisted for an interview based on their performance in the National Entrance Test and/or the qualifying degree as detailed in the above table. The selection is based on the performance in the interview (in some of the departments, an aptitude test/preliminary interview will precede the interview/Final Interview).
