Central University of Punjab Opens PhD Admission for 174 Seats for 2023-24 (July) Intake

Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, a Central University, has released PhD Admission Notification for July 2023-24 Intake. The total number of vacant PhD seats are 174 across 35 subjects.

Eligibility Conditions:

The applicant should have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with minimum percentage marks, as detailed above in the Academic Programme & Eligibility table at pre page 6 to 10.

  1. The applicants who are NET-JRFs (UGC, CSIR, DBT etc.) will be admitted to Ph.D. programmes as per the university policy. If seats are still vacant, preference shall be given to applicants for admission in the following order:

(i) Applicants with fellowships from external funding agencies (such as those working in projects) who qualified CSIR-UGC-NET, DBT-NET, ICAR-NET, GATE, GPAT, etc.

(or)

Applicants who have secured or qualified for funding from external agencies (such as DST-INSPIRE) with no NET qualification provided they qualify in the entrance examination conducted by the university.

(ii) Applicants who have qualified national level tests such CSIR-UGC-NET, DBT-NET, ICAR-NET, GATE, GPAT, etc. If selected, they shall be given UGC Non-NET fellowship of Rs. 8,000, subject to the availability of funds.
