Wipro GE Healthcare Private Limited (WGE) today announced a fellowship partnership with Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai, to provide increased opportunities for Research Scholars to build and further improve the innovation ecosystem. Under this program, Wipro GE Healthcare will also provide financial aid and industrial expertise to chosen Masters (MS) in Research Scholars at IIT Madras.

Eligibility Conditions in Brief:
I) Candidates should have consistently good academic record and should have secured minimum of 60% aggregate in B.Sc. and 55% aggregate in M.Sc. from a recognized University.
II) a. Candidates those who have completed and awaiting the final results of M.Sc. Degree may also apply. However, such candidates should necessarily attach copies of the mark sheets of B.Sc. Degree and a copy of M.Sc. first year mark sheet(s) along with the application.
b.Such candidates should have scored marks above 60% aggregate until the previous semester/year and minimum aggregate of 60% in B.Sc. level. In case such candidates eventually join the Fellowship, they shall have acquired aggregate marks of 55% in the qualifying degrees.
c. Candidates with five years integrated M.Sc. degree should have secured minimum of 55% aggregate in M.Sc./B.S.-M.S. (Dual degree).
In case appearing candidates are selected for JRF, they should secure 55% marks in aggregate in the M.Sc. examination and submit their M.Sc. Degree and mark sheet by July 01, 2021, failing which their candidature may be terminated.

Eligibility Conditions:
The minimum qualification required for admission to Ph.D. programs in Engineering, Science, Planning & Architecture, Management and Humanities & Social Sciences is one of the following:
a) M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch./M.Des. in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60 percent marks or 1st class in both B.Tech. (M.Sc./B.Pharm./MCA or equivalent) and M.Tech. levels from a recognized Technical Institute or University.
b) B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm./MCA/B.Arch. or equivalent in relevant discipline with CGPA of 7.0 or 65 percent marks.
c) M.Sc. in Basic Sciences with CGPA 7.0 or 65 percent marks in relevant disciplines. For applicants with valid GATE/NET/GPAT score, requirement may be relaxed by maximum 0.5 CGPA or 5% marks.
d) M.B.B.S. / B.V.Sc. with CGPA 6.5 or 60 percent marks or 1st class.
Further, candidates having the following qualification can also apply for Ph.D. in Management and Humanities & Social Sciences:
e) M.A. / MBA / M.Com. / M.Sc. in Humanities and Social Sciences or Management with 6.5 CGPA or 60 percent marks or 1st class.
In addition to the above eligibility criteria (based on B.Tech., B.Arch., M.Sc., MBA, MA, M. Com., M.Tech., M.Arch., M. Des. and M. Pharm., etc. examinations), the following additional criteria will also be applicable:
a) A candidate should score minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA or 1st class throughout career to be eligible for admission to Ph.D. program. The DRC, however, may make one exception (marks <60% or Grade < 6.5/10) at its discretion from among the results of 10th, +2, BA, B.Sc., Diploma etc. (except qualifying degree) if the candidate has qualified GATE/NET/GPAT or other national level fellowship tests like DST-INSPIRE, RGNF etc.
b) For admission to Engineering and Science disciplines (except Life Science), a candidate should have passed Mathematics in +2 Science or Diploma.
c) Science students admitted to Ph.D. program in Engineering need Mathematics in +3 level. Students without Mathematics in +3 level may be admitted under the condition that they will have to register for 16 credits of 100 and 200 level Mathematics and 100 level Computer Science courses (Theory and Practical) in addition to their normal course requirement, and secure at least C grade in each course.
d) A student should have passed Life Science or Biological Science either in +2 or +3 level for admission to Ph.D. in Life Science department.
e) Students without adequate background in the primary discipline will be required to have 10% extra marks (1.0 CGPA) to qualify over students with specialization in a primary discipline, unless explicitly exempted by the Senate. List of primary disciplines for specializations under the various departments is given in Clause “D” of the PhD Admission Prospectus.

Selection Criteria:
An applicant will be short listed for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D.).
The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview.

NIT Rourkela Announces PhD Admission Jan 2021 for 20 Departments
Rourkela, Odisha, 15 December 2020: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, has applications from eligible candidates for admission to PhD Program (without Institute Fellowship) for Spring (January) 2020-21 Semester commencing from January 2021. Institute Fellowship category of PhD Admission is not available for January 2021 semester.
NIT Rourkela informed that admissions will be given preferably to the applicants who have qualified for external fellowships. However, admission may also be considered without fellowship. Students with external fellowship like JRF-NET are especially encouraged to apply.

PhD in Engineering, Architecture & Planning Discipline:
The applicant must have a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Planning with CGPA not below 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks (Where CGPA is not awarded). In exceptional cases brilliant candidates with CGPA of more than 9 (85% marks) in Bachelors degree in Engineering/Architecture/Planning may be recommended by DPGC to SPGB for admission in Ph.D. program. Such candidates having, sufficient mission experience in the relevant area and publications in refereed conferences/journals as notified by DPGC, may also be considered.
PhD in Humanities & Social Sciences:
The applicant must have the master degree with CGPA not below 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% Marks (where CGPA is not awarded).
PhD in Management:
The applicant must have a two-year post-graduate degree in management /commerce/ economics/ engineering / technology with CGPA not below 6.5 on a ten-point scale or 60% marks (where CGPA is not awarded)
